For its tenth participation to Design Miami/, Galerie Patrick Seguin presents for the first time a retrospective focused on “la chambre universitaire” (the dormitory room).
Indeed, the research for furniture that combines economy, solidity and easy maintenance is an important part of the work of
JEAN PROUVÉ,
CHARLOTTE PERRIAND and
LE CORBUSIER.
On the booth are rebuilt exactly as they were the three emblematic units:
-Jean Prouvé: dormitory room of the ‘Cité Universitaire Monbois’, Nancy (1932)
-Jean Prouvé: dormitory room of the ‘Cité Universitaire Jean Zay’, Antony (1954)
-Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand: dormitory room of the Brazil House at the ‘Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris’ (1956)
