Galerie Patrick Seguin is delighted to participate in DesignMiami/ from December 4-9, 2018. The gallery will present a JEAN PROUVÉ 6×6 Demountable House, 1944, outfitted as a welcoming fitness room and equipped with a variety of activities from boxing to yoga and meditation. The space takes on a new role while preserving its distinct identity put forward by the bent sheet steel compass, and once again Prouvé’s architecture renders itself entirely adaptable to present-day amenities. The 6×6 meter model that illustrates the early stages of the constructive system that Prouvé continually strived to improve is the emblematic example of his demountable architecture. Alongside the house, the gallery will present a selection of furniture by PIERRE JEANNERET, CHARLOTTE PERRIAND, and JEAN ROYÈRE in a warm niche that highlights Royère’s elegant and whimsical 1950’s aesthetic.
