JEAN PROUVÉ HIS HOUSE IN NANCY, 1954 – VOL. 15

Jean Prouvé’s life is intimately linked with the city of Nancy. In 1954, he built his family home here, a perfect illustration of the technical innovations and ingenious adaptations of its creator. Erected over three weekends, the Nancy house is one of his most personal projects, testimony to an approach that respected the surroundings. When Jean Prouvé died in 1984, the house was listed as a Historic Monument by then Minister of Culture Jack Lang.
